Iteration 7 Loose Ends

• XSLT's: The disseminator is fixed, and Jeppe is working on the XSLT's.

• Releasetest: Depends on Summa-on-a-stick, and Toke and Asger will look at it.

Iteration 7 Updates

• Ingest into Summa is working (see ActionSummaOnAStick). Indexing depends on the XSLT's.

• Data Model has been updated, but still needs review.

General TODO

• We need a general Data Model discussion meeting. Some of the items to be discussed are:
  • circular relations
  • Fedora 3.0
• We should have a Bitstorage Test Action in Iteration 8.

• Gentofte Pre-ingest is missing a releasetest. Use 'test images'.

London Fedora Workshop Report

KFC reported from the London Fedora Workshop arranged by the British-Irish Fedora User Group.

• Relations to other Fedora users is a good thing.
• Fedora 3.0 Beta news:
  • 'Content Model Architecture', which resembles our types
  • This means that disseminators can be defined on 'class level'
  • inheritance is not supported
  • validation is expected in Fedora 3.0
  • easier to 'follow' relations in 3.0
• REST is offered as the easier or nicer alternative to SOAP; can be used to get and also update datastreams...

• It was suggested to initiate a European Fedora User Group (or possibly Group of Users of Fedora in Europe) at ECDL2008.
