The IT staff will become increasingly important with the introduction of the DOMS, as it will increase the amount of digital information to be stored and, thus, managed by the staff.

Also, the IT staff will be the department actually maintaining the running DOMS instance.

The DOMS must be easy to maintain and monitor.

The department must have tools to administrate and maintain the DOMS system.

The IT department must have maximum control over how and where the files are stored, DOMS must be designed to fit with that.
