Once in stage, only maintenance may run scripts - and need to be ping'ed for running anything needed for testing. DOMS + DigiTV + Summa people will get read-only access for inspecting the results of stage tests. Tests of the system as a whole is described here: [[Stage-Test of DOMS RadioTV System]].

NOTICE: As we go PROD, we will need atleast one day (before communicating prod to doms control group) in order to be able to test that our system can indeed be reached by the two machines on "fagsalen", and indeed cannot be reached by people outside.

Install-sequence for parts of the DOMS system, including its environment

The sequence in which each part should be installed, for integration of DOMS with Radio/TV.

Step 1

The following three can be installed in any order

  • Install DOMS

  • Install DigiTV

  • Install IP Role-mapper

Step 2

  • Install DOMS Ingester

  • Install Wowza with plugins

    • depends on DOMS and Broadcast Extraction Service (BES)

  • Install Broadcast Extraction Service (BES)

    • depends on Wowza with plugins and DOMS

Step 4

  • Install Web frontend (Radio/TV DOMS Portal)

    • depends on Broadcast Extraction Service (BES), Wowza with plugins, Summa (backend), IP Role-mapper and DOMS
